1. Introduction
GLP-1 Sidekick ("we," "our," or "us") provides tools to help people taking GLP-1 medications track symptoms, nutrition, and progress. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the app you agree to this policy.
2. Information we collect
- Account data: name, email, password, and authentication identifiers.
- Health & wellness data: daily check-ins, weight, symptoms (nausea, fatigue, appetite, etc.), medication, dosage, meals, and exercise that you choose to log.
- Device & usage data: device model, OS version, app version, crash logs, and anonymized analytics about how features are used.
- Billing data: subscription tier, billing dates, and the last four digits of any payment method (full card numbers are handled by our payment processor and never stored by us).
3. How we use your information
- Provide the core features of the app, including personalized AI recommendations.
- Save your history across devices when you sign in.
- Process subscription payments and prevent fraud.
- Improve the product through aggregated, de-identified analytics.
- Send you transactional messages (receipts, reminders you've enabled, important changes).
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal or health information. We share data only with vetted service providers required to run the app (cloud hosting, payment processing, error monitoring, and our AI provider for generating recommendations), and only the minimum needed for them to perform their function. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
5. AI recommendations
When you request AI-powered recommendations, your most recent check-in and relevant profile fields are sent to our AI provider to generate a response. These requests are processed transiently and are not used to train third-party models. Recommendations are educational and do not replace medical advice from your healthcare provider.
6. Data retention & security
Your data is stored encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We retain your account and health logs for as long as your account is active. You may export or delete your data at any time from Account > Privacy & Security. Deleting your account permanently removes your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to keep records for legal or accounting purposes.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including the EU/UK under GDPR and California under CCPA), you have the right to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. You can exercise these rights in-app or by emailing privacy@glp1sidekick.app.
8. Children
GLP-1 Sidekick is intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated policy.
